I hear you Steve…the proof is in the pudding. My wife is starting to come around now that she sees there is real money coming in. I don't much pushback these days when I go off to work on the internet for hours. Best of luck to you.

Unfortunately, my wife doesn't get it. She thinks it's just a hobby. I plan to quit my job and blog full-time at some point in the future, but it's hard to stay motivated when your spouse is working against you. The only way to get her support is to show her results I think. If I start making a bunch of money, she will probably change her tune. My recent post The Year Of Living Passionately

uhmm I didn't start in this business, the one who did was my girlfriend. At the begining I couldn't understand why she loved so much share so much stuff on the internet. I mean I've been always kinda of a geek myself and love wondering around the internet but never with the "dedication" that at that particular time for her I called "wasted time". As I got interested in what she was doing instead of fighting over it I realized it was quite alright. Now I really into it making money with it.

I'm very lucky that my husband is cool about my blogging, especially since I'm promoting a book with the site. But to be fair, he spends a ton of time on the computer on message boards and playing games. Plus, I go to school and don't have a "real" job, which allows me more time for blogging when he's at work. My recent post Magical Shrinking is now on Amazon!

Oh how I wish I could get more support. My family think that I'm crazy and "don't understand how you can spend so much time in front of the computer."

Oh well… you can't win them all. I enjoy it and it is fun and that is all that matters to me really. It is my hobby and that's that. Some people collect stamps.. I collect blogs and websites.. lol.

Just like you, I get nagged on, well sort of, about the time I spend on the PC.

I do this full time, and love it. I gave up a decorative concrete business that I was running for 5 years to get back online full time.

I have no regrets about doing it. Working online in my mind is way less stressful that the other business I was running, and I love spending all the time I can at home, not to mention all the free time I have in the summer to do things I love doing.
