I am preparing a new blog post and before I get that published I wanted to provide a couple of updates about things that are going on with my blogs.
Last week I posted about some blog related domain names that I have for sale. I have been offered $250 for BlogFluence.com and $100 for DoFollowMovement, no offers for TweetMyPost.com or OpinionatedBlogger.
What do you guys think, should I take the money or hold out for better offers?
At the top of the month I wrote a post about the benefits of blog commenting on this blog and mentioned that I would be offering a free month of advertising to the top commentator. So far Doug is running away with. There are still 4 days left to get your comments in.
Yesterday, I wrote about some great blog contests going on at some other blogs but forgot to mention the blog contest going on at one of my other blogs ; Daily Blog Contest . I need your help for this new post I am writing. I have not written about Twitter in a while and I have found myself not as hooked as I once was and I am wondering why this is. There are some things that I think Twitter should change to enhance the user experience. I want your input…Please let me know what the number 1 thing you would change on Twitter. I just sent out a tweet and asked my followers to chime in. I am excited to see the responses and will compile them in the post along with my number 1 thing that I think Twitter should change. Personally I would take the money without thinking twice. For me they are nothing unusual but maybe you have a great plan with the specific domains.
About Twitter then. In Sweden we have a similar service named Bloggy (cuzo.com in English). The big difference is that we have threaded comments which makes it so much easier to have an discussion. Example: http://bit.ly/MI9FF

If you are not doing anything with them I would sell them. That is pretty nice people would want to buy them. Your $350 richer at the end.
With Twitter you are getting information over load with it. I don’t use that much because I don’t have any friends using it. All I do with it is send out my blog posts. I do have a lot followers but I think they are mostly spam bots.

I hear you, I seem to be getting less results on Twitter than I was several months back. I am still gathering research and will probably get the post up on Monday.

Hold on a little while for BlogFluence. That is a really cool domain name and in the long run, you may find more buyers interested, thus raising the price.

Thinking about it, you can wait with the selling and simply use it to promote your other sites. By doing so you will get a PR3 backlink for free.

I think the one thing twitter should do is that they remove the Limits which they introduced recently. Specially the 1000 followers/day limit.
Other than that I think they should increase their 140 characters limit to 200 but I think this will destroy their main thing for which it is known for.
By the way congrats on getting your domains sold..

Twitter should have options to create groups as in tweetdeck and other apps (it is already available in friendfeed.
My advice to you is make relations with the good people. you can get to know some of these through http://www.bloggodown.com/2009/08/33-super-engagers-to-follow.html.
Plus reputation is not build in a day or two, you have to tweet good stuff. niche related and other fun stuff too. I know when i was new i thought that the more number of followers more popularity but actually quality matters and i would say i have better reach than many people having around 15,000 followers. This is mainly because i follow quality. you should do that too.

Hello Dan, good day to you. i just wanna share my opinion, well like what Liane said, hold on for awhile with Blogfluence. Not only that it has a catchy domain name but its also highly traffic. If its been running for a long time already then it deserves a higher bid.
With regards to twitter, i think they should increase the number of people whom you can DM using their built in feature in particular. This will bring more convenient to user experience
