Best Linkedin Groups for Bloggers

A couple of months back I wrote a post called Promote your Blog with Linkedin . Based on the comments and page views it seems like that Linkedin post was quite popular.  Google really liked it as well, that article is one of the three site links I have currently for this blog.  With that being said, I wanted to write a follow up post and talk a little more about how Linkedin could help you as a blogger .  I want to specifically talk about :

Linkedin Groups for Bloggers

Linkedin Groups are smaller communities contained within the larger community of the 65 million Linkedin members.  Groups are a great way for those with common interests to connect for discussions, networking and job opportunities.  As bloggers continue to flock to Linkedin, the growth of blogging communities (Linkedin Groups) continues to grow as well.

Here are some of the Linkedin Groups that are worth checking out and becoming a member of.

Best Linked in Groups for Bloggers

  • The Blog Zone – Community for bloggers that want to collaborate with other bloggers to share content, ideas, tips and news, while driving traffic to their blog.  This is the largest group with over 2,600 member and several subgroups as well.
  • Social Media Forum – Group for marketing, creative and technology people interested in fostering innovation in media-based marketing, CRM 2.0, social networking, and blogging.
  • Blog – A small (600 members) but growing group of bloggers.  There seems to be a lot of bloggers who blog on the blogger platform in this group.
  • Blogging – A group of bloggers that come together to help each other grow their blogs.
  • Niche Bloggers – This is a new blogging community on Linkedin and has been started by a very cool blogger (me :-) ) The goal is to create a community where bloggers could interact and help each other promote their blogs.  As this community grows I will be creating subgroups where bloggers could join and network with other bloggers in their niche.

    I have a LinkedIn account but have not yet joined any groups.

    Your post is extremely helpful to me and I’m sure other readers.

    This is my first time here and I’ll be back.

    Dan this post was perfect timing. I was trying to explain the importance of online resumes to my daughter as she is trying to go overseas to teach English. She had never even heard of Linked in, we set up her resume last Saturday and she already has two job offers, when I had her read this post, she fully realized the significance of Linked In.

    I agree with you Dan. I have been promoting some of my consulting business through linkedin and joined group of people such as “Consultants” and “Internal Auditors”. I have yet to join some groups for bloggers and the heads up that you gave here should make it easier. Short, simple and very useful. Just the way I like it:)
