How can I promote my blog is probably the most asked question of all bloggers, second only to how can I make money blogging. There are dozens of sites out there to help us with our blog promotion. Most of us are familiar with sites like Entrecard, Adgitize, and Blog Engage. I came across another site that looks promising.
The site is called Seeded Buzz.
Let me start by saying that this is not a review because I just signed up today and my application is still under review. Of course, I will be following up this post and letting you know how everything is going if/when I am up and running.
Here is the concept:
When you are accepted you join a community of quality bloggers that are looking to network and promote their blog.
You start off by planting a seed. This is done by telling other bloggers about your post and then inviting them to follow up on the post on their blog and link back to you.
When you carry on the post on your site, it is called Buzz. When you write a buzz post, you get credits that you can use for your next seed post.
I hope this wasn’t confusing with all the seeds and buzzing, but it is a very simple concept really. It appears to be a win-win situation and can really be a great way to promote your blog.
I am eager to get started. Is anyone a part of this community yet ?
I like this idea, but I am not sure about the traffic or backlinks as it’s a very new site!

Seems easy enough. I’m relatively new to all these types of services so i think i’ll give this a go. Definitely update with a ref link if they allow referrals.

I signed up twice now… I had to change the email to sign up because once you sign up and you never get a response you can’t try again with that email. Hopefully I get in this time around.

Anybody knows how many websites like that are there? I think there are tooo many. It really doesn’t help and you have to sign up everywhere now. Crazy
I have not heard of this promotion site before. I like the concept of creating buzz for posts since too many bloggers seem to worry only about their home page.
I haven’t joined till now but after reading this post I think I should give a try.

Alison – just saw your comment about not hearing back. We always reply to applications usually within 24hrs but have had an issue with some emails getting stuck in spam filters so maybe check them to see if we have replied.

Very interesting concept. I have a few blogs (such as the one I’ve linked to above) that I think could benefit from this type of program.
I’m going to apply for it now and if it works well I’ll write a review on my blog and link back to you for the inspiration.

The PR of the site Seededbuzz is zero, so I think the backlinks we get from that site is not so valuable.
But I think later this site will be good for promote our blog when PR will increase.

never heard of it..will check it out…there are too many of them on the net now…wonder how can manage using them all.
What I find funny is the fact that we are so predictable. You know the main focus of bloggers.
I started a similar Hot Blog or Not, just check the link to my latest blog below my comment. And indeed, the hardest thing that i am facing is to create valuable backlinks for bloggers that join the community. There are a lot of others out there that offer a similar concept and only a few have a chance. I am investing in marketing and creating backlinks for my site at the moment, but it will take a very long and hard push to get above my competition.
but then again, that is the fun part (atleast for me)
