We all know that content is king, but you can have the best content in the blog-o-sphere but if nobody reads it, what good is it.. I have recently joined the twitter movement and I am seeing tremendous results. In fact on one of my blogs, 50% of my traffic comes from twitter. Twitter is definitely catching on and will be here for the long run, so if you haven’t already, jump on the bandwagon. Technically, twitter is actually a “mico-blog” but most people use it to supplement their blog and gain a following.
Here are some tips for getting blog traffic from Twitter
- Become active in the twitter community, just like blogging, you want to provide daily updates.
- Follow people. The more people that you follow, the more people will follow you.
- Follow your friend followers, they will start following you.
- practice “Nitchcraft” if your blog is about cars, do a search on cars and start following the active people in that category.
- If you have 2 blogs, create 2 different twitter acounts for your different identities.
- Promote your twitter account in your blog
- Promote your twitter account in emails
If you follow these very easy and basic tips, I guarantee that you will have more traffic to your blog next week then you do right now.
