I just started using the EntreCard program in an effort to improve traffic on my blog. For those that are not familiar with Entrecard, it is basically and advertising platform for blog owners to advertise their blogs on other blogs in the network. The way it works is that you put a “card” on your blog and other people in the program come to your site and drop their card in your widget. For each card that is dropped in your card you obtain one credit. You also receive credits when you approve other blog owners to advertise on your blog. In turn you can spend your credits to advertise on other blogs. I must admit to you that although I have heard about Entecard, I just started it on my career blog yesterday and the traffic has been amazing. I received 40 new visitors yesterday, had 10 people drop their card in my widget and received 11 advertising requests. After one day, it will now cost you 64 credits to advertise on my career blog. I am still a bit confused on exactly how all this works and I still have not wrapped my mind around hot to create my 125×125 ad and advertise on other blogs. What I have figured out is how to sign up, hot to get the widget code and how to put it on my blog. That is good enough for me as my traffic will pick up and I will be building up credits. I will teach myself the other half of the equation later.
