I THINK BOTH ARE IMPORTANT TO SITE OR BLOG we can earn more if we have PR and traffic so .. no earning without them .-= VM ware´s last blog ..Downtime or not, Cloud will still be on top. =-.

PR is an interesting piece of information but many give it too much weight. When I consider my blogs success I want to see the traffic continue to grow. If that is happening I am likely doing a good job providing a resource people value. Other things (like PR, advertising…) will come if I provide a resource people value.

And I agree with you, traffic is important. However, we need a quality traffic, not just a passerby.

Getting a PR is worth it, it draws a traffic from search engines… usually a quality traffic.

I agree with the article. But then again, it all depends on the advertiser if you're trying to monetize your blog. Some advertisers want PR more than traffic, while other advertisers prefer traffic over PR. Final suggestion: just work on both! Good tips Damien! OnlyWire.com and Ping.fm is new to me, I may want to look more into it. PR and Alexa rank are actually important for direct advertiser, they consider this 2 factors before they buy your banner ads, of course traffic is important as well.
