New site launching soon to help promote our blogs

I think everything has stabilized with my blog. I am running a different theme from Elegant Themes (aff) now and I found a solution to the problem I was having with my comments. As you will see when you leave a comment below :-) I have installed the Intense Debate plugin and that seemed to fix the problem I was having. I am running a contest over at Digital Point forums right now in the hopes of finding a killer new logo for the blog. As it stands right now, there are 15 entries and 2 of them look okay but nothing is wowing me.

I just noticed that it has been close to a week since my last post as I have been busy with blog maintenance and updates and I have also started working on my first e-book. The focus of the e-book will be on Tips to Promote Your Blog . With that being said, I have been doing a lot of research in this area and have discovered some really cool sites that will be hitting the blog-o-sphere soon. In this post I want to introduce you to a new site that will be launching in August.

The site is called MegaPhone and it is a novel concept that will connect bloggers in a social media platform. Each blogger will then put a widget on their site and that widget will promote their friends content. The widget has technology that will automatically detect what the site is about and then display the most relevant content headlines and teasers. Basically, the headline and teaser works like an ad unit that will entice people to visit your site. That is the gist of the site, for more info you can click here.

To get in on the action you will have to preregister before the launch happens in August. The cool thing is when you register you also get a Free link from their sister PR 5 web directory.

As you may have guesses, I signed up and you can rest assured that I will be posting a review post and let you all know how it is going.

    Dan, I didn't come to your blog for quite some times and I'm impressed now with your new layout! Honestly, it looks much more better than the previous one. The current logo looks great too, so you still want new logo from Digitalpoint forum? ;)

    I have seen a lot of people using the elegant theme. It's a nice pleasant looking theme. Most of their themes look pretty much the same though – like round edge buttons and links, similar side bar etc.

    That really looks a superb idea Dan..First I though that "MegaPhone" is gonna be related to something like mobile reviews etc. but it was completely different. I think you should consider renaming that widget if it is possible in the middle of the development process. Also because if somebody visit MegaPhone.com then the person is gonna experience something different..agg ha.. :D

    Intense Debate works great, I'm using it on my Blogger blog and the comments have increased.

    I like the new layout nice and clean. Nice touch with intense debate and Open Id although WordPress.com seems a bit redundant there.
