It is great to get back to blogging!

This is the longest stretch I have had away from this blog since I started it back in February.  I think I had a good excuse, I spent the last week in Disney World.  I had an outstanding time but I did miss my blog and visiting the blogs of my friends.  For my first post back, I wanted to provide a general update on what to expect here over the next couple of months.  As most of you know, I am hosting my first major blog contest here called “Rookie Blogger of the Year” contest.

I am still going through all the entries, through comments and contact form I have received interest from over 100 rookie bloggers.  I am checking out all of them one by one to ensure that they have been started this year and that they are in the blogging/technology/MMO/social media or closely related niche.

I will post the blogs that are in the contest on October 15th and that is when the voting will officially begin.

In addition to exposure and bragging rights, I will be sponsoring $100 via PayPal and a full year of advertising (125 x 125 banner) here on Tycoon Blogger ($360 value).

    Welcome back! I hope you had a great time too. I missed seeing a new post here or there, but I am glad you had a great time. I just missed out on entering your contest by a few days, but I am sure that there will be another one I can take part in soon.

    Good luck fighting your way through the entries, I am sure there are a ton. Those are some really awesome rewards right there and I hope it goes to the best one. I cannot wait to vote.

    Welcome back. I hope you and your family (assuming this of course) had a great time. I’ve been there with my kids a couple of years ago and boy do I miss it (maybe more than my kids, haha).

    Sometimes even doing something you enjoy so much, but for long undisturbed periods of time, causes some burnout. Doesn’t it feel great to get back to something you like after a little break? It’s a little bit like relationships isn’t it :P
