@Dennis- I usually send out a tweet about a new blog post. Later in the day I will resend the same link but with a different variation, usually in the form of a question, "What is your strategy for getting more retweets." If the post is getting good buzz and good comments, I might send a tweet to that effect. Other wise, I may send out something about my other sites like TweetMyPost.com or BlogFluence.com or SubmitMyBlog.com, etc... @ben- thanks for the heads up, i will look into.. @jonk- there is a lot of spam, but luckilly it is very easy to unfollow someone or block them. @kris- I have found that tweeting something about Twitter is likely to yield a lot of retweets. I think the hardest one is trying to come up with something usefull for the followers. I have tried and tried to get retweeted, asking frequently, but to no avail. I will definatly take your tips into consideration when tweeting.
