Do Follow, CommentLuv and now KeywordLuv

Do Follow, CommentLuv, Top Commentors and KeywordLuv are now all enabled on this blog. Most bloggers know that do follow links are essential to any link building campaign and will help boost your rankings in the search engines. If you are able to leave a comment on your do follow blog with anchor text of your keywords that is so much better.

Last month I wrote a post about how to get more blog comments and I did not mention KeyWordLuv but I should have. I think by adding all 4 of these plugins I am telling my readers that I really appreciate their visit and providing a little nudge and incentive to drop a meaningful comment and add value to the blog and my other readers. In my opinion, this is the ultimate win-win situation.

To take full advantage of this I recommend you subscribe to my rss feed or follow me on Twitter so you will be notified when I publish a new post.  You will have a better chance of being one of the first to comment and thus be in a position to gain some traffic as well.

    Hi,
    Keywordluv gives users motivation to post comments. Yet, content is very important to keep them coming back. In my opinion keywordluv is especially interesting as a tool to draw attention to a relatively new blog.

    I am finding more and more blogs that were using keywordluv, are now not using it. It’s a shame because it is such a fantastic idea. Too much temptation for spammers. Commentluv seems to be really gaining a huge following though.

    Haha too funny. Just look at these comments, most of them are manual spammers.
    “nice post” “I am installing them”"I agree”….
    Sheesh folks, and people are truly wondering why the dofollow movement is turning back to nofollow. The spammers are poisoning themselves and they don’t even know it.

    Thanks for the info mate, it becomes a bigger pain moderating comments, don’t people learn? All they need to do is drop a decent comment without spamming and boom, back link. I guess it’s too hard for some people :)

    The mix of three plug ins is a great idea but I’ve found that KeywordLuv attracts a lot of comments that are off topic.
    I too have just barely made both of my blogs do follow on blog spot.

    The mix of three plugins is a great idea but I’ve found that Keyword Luv attracts a lot of comments that are off topic i.e. in the case of this post you’d want readers to at least comment on, say, CommentLuv ( :) ). Hopefully someone will write a WordPress plugin that can parse comments for relevancy and approve/disapprove on that basis!

    You are right, I too have just barely made both of my blogs do follow on blogspot. Anyway keep up the good work. I am not sure if I could leave the links so I won’t since it will seem a little spammy. It would be nice though to let you comment on my blogs to get some backlinks so if your interested just send me an email at webmaster@makemoneyfree.comuv.com they don’t have PR since I have not yet had time to advertise for them since I have been busy with my website.

    Actually I thought about creating a list of “friendly” blogs. But after I thought about it I did not want to upset anyone with excessive traffic and quite possibly just random and worthless comments.

    Having these features on your blog is great. But I don’t know if I would tell many people about it. You may end up getting hammered with garbage comments. :(

    Well done for using keywordluv. I am sure you will see a lot of relevant comments showing soon.

    I found that not only did comments increase but so did traffic and serp placement due to being listed on keywordluv blog sites -

    The only negative is the obvious increase in spammy comments – many just saying “thanks” or similar – have to be prepared to moderate a lot!

    All three are good tools to encourage people to leave a comment on an article. You will still get spam with commentluv or without commentluv and there isn’t much you can do about that.
    I also make sure that if I find a site that is using some of these plugins that I give them a little ‘sponsor clicky luv’ in return for their kindness and I encourage others to do the same :)
