Everyone knows what Digg is. Do you know what a Digg Circle is all about?
A Digg Circle is a group of people who form a group on Digg with the purpose of digging each other’s submissions. This is obviously done in an effort to get your article or post to appear on the front page. It takes about 50 votes in the first hour to get there or about 200 in one day to get on page 1. This is almost impossible to do unless you are Arianna Huffington or Time Magazine or Reuters. So how does the up and coming blogger that has a killer post make it to the top of Digg. Well, quite frankly, without a little help it is virtually impossible. A little help in the form of other bloggers with the same goal can get you there. I have written about the need and benefits of networking with other bloggers in the past. This is essential in the world of social bookmarking. I ran into a fellow blogger over at the EntreCard network that came up with the idea of forming a Digg circle for EC members and we are looking to expand to other likeminded bloggers at this point.

Lee,
I just joined the group a couple of days ago and it is still in the beginning stages. It sounds like a good idea and I am willing to give it a shot. I will be posting a follow up post with the results in about a month..
Here is the link if you want to join. Couldn’t hurt…. http://anshuldudeja.blogspot.com/2009/05/join-our-active-digg-circle.html
Tycoon Blogger’s last blog post..Digg Circle
I’ve seen someone doing this before and he asked me to join their group as well. But I was too lazy in doing this action, so I just add him as friend and forget about this. Have you done this Dan and how do you think about this?
Regards,
Lee
