I know if sounds far fetched, but some websites are promising at least 15,ooo followers in a month.
I have been experiementing with Twitter and trying to build up my following so I decided to take a closer look. I have multiple blogs and for each blog I have a unique twitter account. I am not sure if this was a good idea, as I have 5 accounts with about 100 followers each. I think I would prefer to have one account with 500 followers. We can debate that later. I have seen a lot of offers lately from “Marketing gurus” who claim to be able to offer a way to get upwards of 15,000 followers in 30 days. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is. I decided to try it out any way. My rationale is that it can’t hurt and it would make a good topic for a blog post. I signed on with two free services that are claiming to have the best solution for generating traffic. The two sites look identical and are probably owned the same person. The way it works is you enter your twitter name and send out an RT, when this happens you are automatically following everyone on the list before you. The idea is that as more and more people sign up the more followers this will create for you. This is the classic pyramid scheme in action. Again, what do I have to lose, it is free and it will be interesting to see if it works. I created a brand new account to follow this @thegreenblogger , if you want to follow along. I signed up last night and went from 0 followers to 37 without doing a thing. I noticed that it has slowed down today, but hopefully it will pick up. I have a long way to go to reach 15,000.

It has been just about thiry days now and I gained just over 100 followers form the pyramid promotion. I guess I didn’t go viral. I still have one day to get 14,900 followers. As you can see by my stats counter, for my “real” Twitter account @tycoonblogger , I gained over 200 followers in the same time period. Thebest part is that these people really wanted to follow me and are interested in what I gave to say. How about that, I actually got better quanity and better quality from building my following organically.
Well, I never try this and I’m not the big fan of this marketing guru products…Anyways, I hook up with the guy who hold radio talk show and the same night I got 500 followers. I would suggest all of you worth of mouth is best advertising what ever you do.

I don’t know if it was an old show but the creator of Twitter was on the Colbert Report and supposedly they are going to be turning a profit next year. So I don’t think Twitter is going to be going any where anytime soon.
Not a big fan of these. You get totally the wrong kind of audience. I prefer to build up my Twitter slowly.

I’ve got a big twitter following that I’ve built organically. The problem with the pyramid scheme is that none of those who follow you will be interested in you, none of them will visit your blog and you’ll scare away potential real followers.
I’ve also seen some websites like this, and I’ve also created a twitter account to see what happens. After a few days, I have almost 100 followers. I have to agree with Nitesh Kothari on this. Viral twitter followers will probably work for a while, until people will just slowly stop using this… But maybe I’m wrong. Anyway, have the account, we’ll see what’s going to happen.
I have not been twitterized yet but I can see the appeal of this pyramid plan. It is an interesting attempt to grow traffic exponentially.

another way of increasing oyur followers is: follow most popular bloggers and their blogger in your niche… for example you follow me and then follow all my followers… atleast 50% of them will follow you back…
