Most bloggers are familiar with Sponsored Tweets and Ad.ly as they are the top two advertising companies that have sprung up to take advantage of the rise in the popularity of Twitter. In my quest to make money through blogging and social media, I have tried out both services and have come to the conclusion that Sponsored Tweets is WAY better than Ad.ly. With that being said, I have still not been able to reach the $50 payout for Sponsored Tweets. I think I am at like $42 after a month or two.

I did indeed sign up for MyLikes yesterday and I think they have a real bright future in this space. The email content above describes what MyLikes is all about. There are several things that stick out that I think will propel this service to the top.
- As far as I can tell they already have much more advertiser signed up to use the service. This may be due to the fact that the company was founded by the former PM for Google Adwords.
- Low payouts. $2 versus $50 for Sponsored Tweets
- Post on Twitter or your Blog
- Pay Per Click platform is “friendlier” for advertisers and in turn helps publishers as well.
I will be testing this out and will post a more comprehensive review in about a month but I thought this looked pretty cool and wanted to spread the word as I know many of readers are looking to make money on Twitter as well as their blog.

I have not monetize my twitter account, but I am thing of starting with MyLikes account soonest.
To be frank I would not really depending on twitter or any other sites which offers money for promoting their sites online for my income. I would rather try to put more effort on developing my own blogs and sites to make real money.
MyLikes ain’t bad at all. I just got my first $6 today for about a week worth of tweeting – and it’s max 1 tweet per day, so it doesn’t even take a long time to do it. I could probably get more if I wrote better tweets.

@Klaus @ TechPatio, I’m not really sure about the benefit of following either, but I figure that it can’t hurt. At least now I know that Klaus and TechPatio are one in the same. I didn’t realize that before, or maybe it slipped my mind – I’m not as young as I used to be.
I think it’s always a good thing to follow each other around.

I knew of Adly and sponsored tweets but never heard of Mylikes. My guess is these sites start popping up like crazy.
Good review, this looks like one I can actually get behind…I am extremely picky about promotions I do.
Things like the low payout and especially the blog or twitter options really make them stand out; how long do you give it before the others catch on to this?

I signed up for MyLikes a few weeks. I sent out one sponsored tweet so far and I think they allow one per day. I think we can follow each other’s likes there too. That should be good for us since we live in the same city. I’ve already liked a few local restaurants. I’ll keep you posted.
