Top Blog Posts of January 2010 on TycoonBlogger.com

January is quickly coming to an end and at the end of each month I like to take some time and reflect on my blog performance. I take a look at my analytics, keywords that are driving traffic to my blog, and what my most popular posts are. This gives me a sense of what is working and what is not.

Just to give a quick recap, this is the 11th month of the Tycoon Blogger blog and I am happy to report that this blog has seen consistent growth in visitors each month. In January, over 14,000 visitors stopped by to read some blog promotion tips. The cool part is that Google is starting to give this blog some love and is referring a bulk of that traffic. Here are the top 5 traffic sources for the month of January:

  1. Google
  2. Adgitive
  3. Direct
  4. MyBloggerTricks.com (I am in the Entrecard bucket list)
  5. Entrecard

I must admit that I am a little surprised that my Twitter traffic and my Blog Engage traffic was down pretty significantly versus the previous month. I am not all that concerned as long as my Google traffic continues to rise. As we all know Google traffic = Adsense Money :-)

If you missed any posts this month, here is a quick recap about what I was blogging about this month

I am hoping that you found this round up interesting… I know that I really like reading about other bloggers monthly wrap ups. In fact, I am off to visit my favorite blogs right now to see what they have been up to.

14,000 visitors a month is great. What’s even better is that number is going up every month. Keep up the good work!

nice work Looks like you’re quite satisfied with your performance in January and I’m happy for you too. Enterecard, I was using it during my Blogger platform year. I didn’t have it long though as my intention was to look for bloggers to connect with. :-) Glad you have some success with it. Wish you a much better month in February.

  11. Well, sounds like January was a good month for you. It’s better than Google traffic is picking up as that’s the main objective.

You say that Twitter traffic and Blog Engage traffic was down, what percentage compared to last month?

    • dankeller says:

@George Serradinho, I was off by only 20 or so visitors on Twitter, but my Blog Engage traffic dropped from arounf three hundred in December to about half that in January. I think as BE increases in popularity it is getting harder to reach the first page.
