There is a revolution going on right now in the blogging world. Can you feel it? Change is coming and there is a new crop of bloggers that are quickly taking over. These new school bloggers all share some common traits. They are passionate and most importantly they give more than they take. Bloggers helping other bloggers is a beautiful thing.
Talkin About a Revolution
I am sick and tired of seeing the selfish bloggers succeed and just watch hordes of people follow along like lemmings. Take for example John Chow. Hey John, I do not give a f*ck about what you are eating for lunch or the next convention you are going to. Stop already with the Shoemoney promotion crap. Every day I scratch my head and really try to figure out why this guy is famous. Sorry for going off on a tangent, but that has been building up inside me for a while now.
I am not really sure where I am going with the post. I guess the point I am trying to make is that we as bloggers should support and help each other get to the top. I like to think that I spread the blogging luv around but I will commit to making a more concerted effort to helping my fellow bloggers that are working hard.
I welcome you all to join me, if you are spreading the luv, thanks and please continue. If you are looking for ways that you can help your fellow blogger brethren, here are some quick ideas.
There are 7 quick ways that you can join the blogging revolution and be a cool blogger instead of a dick.
Help me build out this list in the comments… What other ways can you think of.
Blogging Revolutions is the really revolution in the world of blogging, it contains lots of learning things for blogging.

I have already implemented quite a few of your tips, but the one I am going to try and focus on over the next couple of months is Twitter. I want to become much more of an active participant – and focus on promoting others instead of myself.

You are right about sharing more of our love by commenting, voting and retweeting.
We help others and help ourselves at the same time.
By the way, I have also not been reading too much of John Chow lately. Gone are the days when he provides really useful blogging tips.

Radio National often provides links to external websites to complement program information. While producers have taken care with all selections, we can neither endorse nor take final responsibility for the content of those sites.
Journalist and author Antony Loewenstein has just released his new book, The Blogging Revolution, which examines the power of blogging in six different countries — Iran, Cuba, China, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Egypt.
I find your view on bloggers like John Chow interesting. By any chance, do you work for Google?

John Chow branded himself so people trust him. He can talk about food and get paid for it. He is no different than the BS you see on TV because the person is “famous”.

After a few MMO niche blogs I have decided to share what I have learned about blogging for those who also want to blog about MMO’s. I am no expert, but feel I can help many others from making the same mistakes I made initially.

Wow Dan, seems you really have big issues with John. I also don’t any big names as they have forgotten how they got there and some are just to vain for me.
I think if we remember how we started and who helped us and we help others, then it’s just a matter of time before we all make it.
Great minds think alike. I’ve been working on an article very similar to this, and posted it today about the Bloggers Of Tomorrow, as opposed to the tired way that a lot of bloggers have been told to operate for the past few years…
Yeah, the blogosphere is definitely changing. There is something of a counter culture movement happening in the blogging world. I, for one, am part of it, and hope to become a bigger part of it.
Well said Will. Contributing to other blogger’s communities is huge.
Agreed. Folks should also realize the benefits of not only giving through enabling the plugins you mentioned and promoting social media references, but also just joining the conversation on a few helpful blogs. By leaving helpful comments and joining other bloggers’ communities, you’re providing a benefit to that blogger, his community at-large, and are also reaping the benefits of some self-promotion. Engage, engage, engage!
i greatly love this post..i think its time for us all to do something.count me in…
we should encourage others to guest post and should welcome guest post from upcoming bloggers…

Add another +1 to the list. I’m new, so not very experienced, but if there’s ever anything I can do to help another blogger out, I’m game. I haven’t done any blog-author-guest-post things yet, but I’m up for that… if anyone is interested, find me @teleglass on Twitter and let’s connect. Ready to put my bandwidth where my mouth is.

Spread the luv it is! Rightly said. All the bloggers out there should be helping each other climb up the ladder of success and not just a go-to-one-man success. Pulling others down is such a bad thing. Anyway, thank for this plain and honest post. It makes us even more determined to strive harder with our blogging and to share with gladness.
Yes I’m spreading the luv.
I guess you should consider moderating comments. I don’t know how the comments by the previous commentator are related to this post.

@selurus, Thanks for the heads up on the comment spam. I am not sure how that slipped by as I have a good spam plugin and I usually also monitor what is going on. Anyhow, I am glad you are spreading the blogging luv and glad to see your blog is part of the do follow movement.
