New site called Mavenlink helps link freelancers with new projects.
With unemployment reaching double digits in the United States, many professionals are taking their skills and looking online for freelance work. Since many bloggers are gurus in their selected fields, I know that many are always on the lookout for new freelance opportunities. I have a profile on several freelance sites and I just came across a new site that seems like it has a lot of potential. The site is called Mavenlink and it is site that connects freelancers with end users who are in need of their services. When I first check out their site, I was immediately impressed with the ease of navigation and the simplicity of the site. It has a clean web 2.0 feel about it and it is not as overwhelming as some other freelance sites that I have been on. The best feature of the site is the communication platform. They provide an interface for the customer and the expert to communicate effectively each phase of the project. The site is free to use on both ends right now if you sign up as a charter member. I think this is a promising site and a great way for freelancers and small business to obtain new clients. I encourage you to check them out and sign up. I created my profile today to promote my resume writing services. There is my smiling face below.

We at iW2K provide a free service online. We are always on the look out to reach out varied clients. I guess the Mavenlink site would be a one stop website that would help us find new clients. Thank you for the info.

Most of the time I spend on freelance website is in ‘finding’ the work that meets my skills. People often list the projects in incorrect category etc. I will save atleast an hour everyday if I just stick to my category (but I will miss some good projects too).
MavenLink looks good, I would also recommend niche freelance sites like MagLance to save time ‘looking for’ projects.

I’ve just had a look at the site and it is clean and easy to navigate – only thing with these sites is getting enough critical mass to make it effective. You need quite a few projects before you’ll get much work from a site like this – but when the work market is tough people will try everything….

I don’t see why that article would have been rejected? I would imagine that any positive posting that linked back to their site would be worthwhile. Do they provide you a reason why you were rejected?
