That’s a captivating title, huh. Of course, we would all like more Twitter followers to get our blog posts broadcast to more and more people. There are many twitter follower tools available but I wanted to share with you a simple way to get you message tweeted (or is it twitted?) to 25,000 tweeple in a matter of seconds. Are you friends with @guestbook on Twitter? If you are not, you should be. If you follow @guestbook, he will follow you back. Once you are connected you can send him a direct message of you tweet. He will then send your tweet to his 25,000 followers. If your message is compelling (or Twitter related) this can result in hundreds and even thousands on new visitors.

Great share but i would share another twitterer who can share your tweets if they are good follow @jason_pollock. I had posted about a 400 twitter icons blog post and sent a dm to him. and retweeted the post and i got a lot of RTs

That’s really amazing. I think besides just getting followers, retaining them is equally important. Let me share some tips on once you get followers, how to keep them:
1. Do not talk politics, unless you are a known political tweeter and people still follow you.
2. Do not tweet about how many members you have.
3. Do not tweet more than 20 times a day.
4. Do not tweet every thought that crosses your mind.
5. Do not retweet the “Sillyguy has a crazy idea – 15,000 new followers in one day”

I’ve followed GuestBook and sent them a direct msg, they tweeted my message, but I don’t receive any traffic or followers. It didn’t work for me, thus it’s a good try.
