Free Featured Link

I am very pleased with the growth of my readership in just over 6 weeks.  I just checked my Feedburner stats and I have 48 subscribers in less than a month since I set up it up.  I am also very happy with the amount of comments and interaction that I have received so far as well.  I have 35 posts and already have 60+ comments.  These stats have put me in a good mood and I have decided to give something back. ...

New Plugins added to Tycoon Blogger

During the first week of this blog I shared with you which plugins i installed.  They were Platinum SEO, No Follow Free and WP 125, which is an ad management plugin for the 125 x 125 banner ads that you see on the right hand side bar.  I am a firm believer that you should install either Platinum SEO or All in One SEO as your first plugin.  I think a lot of pro bloggers would agree with me on that.  They...

Top 10 Blogging Tips for beginners

As I mentioned in a post last month, people love “top lists” and I have seen it work here at my blog.  So far, my most popular post is “Top 10 Free Blog Directories.”  With that in mind, I figured I would write another Top 10 list post.  This one will focus on tips for beginners.  These tips are what I feel are the most important things that new bloggers need to know to get their blog off the ground. ...

15,000 twitter followers in 30 days

I know if sounds far fetched, but some websites are promising at least 15,ooo followers in a month. I have been experiementing with Twitter and trying to build up my following so I decided to take a closer look. I have multiple blogs and for each blog I have a unique twitter account. I am not sure if this was a good idea, as I have 5 accounts with about 100 followers each. I think I would prefer to have one...

Adgitize Network for bloggers

My last post was about Entrecard and some of the changes that are to coming in the next couple of weeks. BTW, I made over 15,000 EC credits today in the marketplace (still don’t know what that will translate into in real $.) As I was reading a blog from the EC Network, I noticed they were also running ads from the Adgitize Network. I decided to check it out. Adgitize is very similar to Entrecard in the...

EntreCard Market

As I mentioned in a post last month, I joined the EntreCard Network.  For those that are not familiar with EntreCard, read this post first: http://tycoonblogger.com/2009/03/19/promoting-your-blog/promote-your-blog-using-entrecard If you are still reading this you probably have a basic understanding of what the network is all about.  Just when I was getting used to things, a couple of weeks ago they announced...

Choosing a Blog Provider

This is a guest post by Dragon Blogger Many readers have come to me to ask if they should use blogger.com, today.com or other online blog hosting sites and I tell all my friends and fellow bloggers the same thing.  Decide what you want to accomplish with your blog and you will know the best way to proceed. If you are looking to make some ad revenue or perhaps even get a few paid assignments for your blog, then...

New Blog Network forming

If you have been blogging seriously for a number of years, chances are you are part of or thought about joining up with a blog network.  I have been thinking about this as well, this particular site is relatively new, but I have several more established blogs that I own.  There are hundreds of blog networks out there, some big, some small, some good, and some bad.  After looking into a variety of options,...

Feedburner added to my blog today

My traffic is starting to pick up and readers are spending more time on my blog, I guess that makes sense since I now have more content then last month.  I felt it was a great time to set up my Feedburner account and start engaging my readers.  Since a lot of new bloggers read my blog, I want to start with the basics of RSS and Feedburner. What is RSS?  RSS stands for really simple syndication.  Basically,...

Top 10 Free Blog Directories

I wrote a similar article last month but so much has changed that I felt compelled to write an updated list.  I was working on submitting my Green Jobs blog to free blog directories yesterday and the top 10 list that I use changed dramatically.  I am eliminating 5 directories and adding 5 new ones.  Here are the ones I am taking off the list and the reason why: LSBlogs- too junky, could not find the submit...
